Intro to AR-15
The AR-15 platform rifle is the most popular center fire rifle on the market today. It is based on the US military M-16 and M4 Carbine platform, but is semi-auto only. People who shoot AR-15 rifles do it for a variety of reasons, fun target shooting, precision target shooting, competition, and hunting. It is a modular constructed rifle allowing owners to change components to fit their needs. One can even build a custom AR-15 by buying all the components and assembling the rifle themselves. The AR-15 is a rifle that becomes a hobby in its self. Owners accessorize their guns with all sorts of goodies. There is nothing better than shooting a rifle that you personalize.
Our class is called INTRODUCTION TO THE AR-15, and is designed for beginners [first-time buyers]. This Three hour session will introduce shooters to the basics of the AR-15 platform.
In this class you will learn:
- Safe handling of the AR-15 rifle
- Demonstration of disassembly, field strip basics
- Cleaning and maintenance
- Live fire of 20 rounds of ammunition
- Easy upgrades to improve the handling and performance.
Class includes a cleaning kit and cleaning mat.
Bring your AR-15 but leave the ammunition in your car until told to get it.
